Petlyn Park Alpacas

Petlyn Park Alpacas was established in 1999 in the small township of Jindera by Julie & Joe Hofer. Jindera is in the beautiful NSW countryside just 18km from Albury and 12km from the edge of Lavington.

Our herd now consists of 150 breeding animals and is steadily growing. Our concentration has always been on coloured huacaya, though we now run a small suri herd as well. We aim to consistently breed for soft handling fleeces with low micron and low SD, while not undermining fleece weight. We like mid sized alpacas supporting a good depth of frame and conformationally correct. We started with black and grey animals and recently branched into the fancies/appaloosa, because of their unique colours and markings. We have females in all of the recognised colours.

We are financial members of the Australian Alpaca Association. All of our breeding females are IAR registered and our stud males are registered and are certified to AAA standards. We attend shows at both Regional and National level, achieving successful results.

All of our alpacas are named and are a large part of our family life. Getting to know each and every one of them is something we both enjoy.

Our farm is open to people wanting to purchase alpacas weekdays or weekends by appointment, ring 02 60263835 or Julie on 0411025834. We do not open for the general public to visit.
